Intel’s Stan Ball to Keynote Arouet’s ‘Fair Chance’ Symposium
Fall Event at the Biltmore Will Bring Together a Cross-Section of Companies to Share Guidance on Successfully Employing People with a Conviction History
PHOENIX, ARIZONA—August 17, 2023—Stan Ball, a leading voice in the founding of the Second Chance Business Coalition, will be the keynote speaker for Arouet Foundation’s signature annual event—the 2023 Fair Chance Employment Symposium, presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co, on October 5 at the Arizona Biltmore.
“Stan Ball is a leading advocate for Second Chance opportunities. His impact is deep, as he has helped corporations across this nation adopt best practices to support the immediate success and long-term growth realized when people are given an opportunity by prioritizing Fair Chance hiring,” said Shamia Lodge, a crucial Arouet partner and the Director of Community Engagement at Aventiv Technologies. “Business leaders are going to gain so much from his incredible perspective and experience.
“Stan is an exceptional voice, and the people of Arizona will be even more empowered to drive positive change on Fair Chance hiring by hearing directly from him during Arouet’s Fair Chance Employment Symposium,” Lodge added. “I am so glad Arouet is bringing him in for the Symposium.”

Ball, the Vice President and Head of Legal, Trade and Government Affairs Transformation & Execution for Intel, previously served as Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel for the multinational power management company, Eaton. Ball graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Baldwin-Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and with his Juris Doctorate.D. from Cleveland State University’s College of Law.
Though Arizona’s economy currently ranks as one of the best in the nation, there remains a clear and present threat to the state’s long-term prosperity: a labor shortage that could be disastrous for the private sector, especially small businesses. Arouet’s Fair Chance Employment Symposium will bring together business and justice reform leaders to discuss the threat and share how successful companies have overcome the talent shortage by implementing Fair Chance policies.
The Symposium, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. just seven weeks from today, will also serve as a launchpad for Arouet’s highly-anticipated Fair Chance Employment Guidebook. And Arouet will honor five trailblazers of the fair chance hiring movement:
