Once Upon a Second Chance Fundraiser

Did you know that approximately 2,500 women are released from prison every year in Arizona? Sadly, nearly 40% of these women will be back in prison within three years.

However, women released from prison who receive support from foundations like Arouet and Televerde Foundation have less than a 10% recidivism rate in the same period.

Arouet and Televerde Foundation support women with their transition out of prison, beginning their work with each woman about one year prior to their release date. The two non-profit organizations are uniquely intertwined and together work to reduce the recidivism rate in Arizona and positively impact the local economy and workforce. By supporting Once Upon a Second Chance, you will be providing much needed support to both Arouet and Televerde Foundations’ mission of empowering currently and formerly incarcerated women to find purpose and success in the professional workforce. Arouet and Televerde Foundation are working together to better our community. Saving one woman, saves her family and the community around her. 

Arouet and Televerde Foundation have joined forces to garner additional support for this important cause. This past year alone, these two organizations together have partnered with over 109 companies to help women released from prison find new and meaningful work. Together, they placed 191+ women in new careers and this is just the beginning.
